Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Grant Shifter, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using Grant Shifter on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of Service

Grant Shifter is a SaaS platform that helps nonprofit organizations draft grant applications by reformatting their existing content to match funder templates using AI. We provide tools for managing a content library, storing grant templates, generating application drafts, and exporting completed applications.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You may not share your account with others outside of your organization's team member seats.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Grant Shifter to:

• Submit false or misleading information in grant applications
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the security of the service
• Use the service for any purpose other than legitimate nonprofit grant writing

5. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Plan limits (applications per month, team member seats) are enforced at the plan level. Exceeding limits will require an upgrade.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Grant Shifter. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content for any other purpose, including training AI models.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of grant applications created using Grant Shifter. AI-generated content should be reviewed before submission to any funder.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Grant Shifter uses AI to assist in drafting grant application content. AI-generated drafts may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or language that does not perfectly represent your organization. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before submission. Grant Shifter does not guarantee that any grant application will be successful.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grant Shifter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, loss of data, or failure to obtain grant funding, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or engage in activity that harms other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
